A Fundraiser
Gradonation has been working on growing the start up, right now we are focusing on providing useful tools to help our students earn money for college. The team came up with an idea, why not have our students create a custom fundraiser and sell custom items to people who are willing to purchase them. Backing our students by advertising their products on our site and doing whatever we need to do to get the word out about what they are trying to accomplish could really work! So what next!? Well, in order to try and see if this concept would work our team has come up with Gradonation Gratitude Stones, the purpose of the stone is to look at it and tell yourself something you are thankful for every single time you hold the stone or even look at it. We are going to walk door to door and pass these out asking for a small donation or whatever our possible donors might give us. The proceeds of what will be donated will go to the students, how nice would it be to give money to these students who are struggling to pay for the copious amounts of college expenses. Even if they don't want to donate anything to Gradonation, it might still help us get the word out and maybe, just maybe, the concept might catch on.

So today was a great productive day, Gradonation went to Texas State University and talked to students about how we could help them receive their money for school. It is so fun to get to speak to so many students about how they can get their family and friends to facilitate them by sending money for their college expenses. Why not start with family and friends? Most parents and family either share the same banks or not, well if mom needs to send you, "a student", some money, what would be her plan of action? Mom, would usually take the money out of either the bank or atm, then go to your bank, ask for a deposit slip, then finally the money would be in your account. First of all, that is not green, and waste not only paper, but time and gas. Go paperless, save gas, and stay home, why not, they all sound way more alluring, don't you think?

Money
Why do we go to college? So we can pursue our passions and make a living of course! How do most students pay for school? Well in our day and age we often turn to student loans to pay for school, the problem is students are graduating with large student loan debts. Gradonation, wants to help those students out there who could use help paying for college expenses. We encourage college students to tell their friends and family about our organization, they can be a tremendous help when paying for school. How wonderful would it be if we could connect every student with their family and friends and have them send you money from time to time. Could you image if each one of your facebook friends sent you at least $5 dollars, how beneficial could that be!? We are here to help make it happen for college students!

Driving Force
Why not help your fellow man out? There are copious amounts of people in the world who need help with something or another. People need help getting food, water, and in today's economy, people need money! College Students need money! We have to pay for tuition, books, housing, not to mention the daily expenses like food, and gas money. How can college students, get money for college?! Well, jobs aren't very prevalent with the lagging economy, so who can we turn too? Family, friends, and philanthropists of course! We as college students turn to our families, friends, and community to help us make ends meet to pay for school. Gradonation has a goal, and that is to bring family, friends, and philanthropists together to help out our fellow college students with tuition, books, and general college expenses. We want to create a more efficient way of sending funds or donations to our students, and we believe we can do that with Gradonation. So, why not help out your fellow man?!

My First letter to Oprah
DEDICATED TO HELP FINANCIALL Y STRUGGLING COLLEGE STUDENTS! By Eli A.
Hi, Oprah
My name is Eli A. and I wanted to inform you about the student loan debt crisis that college students are facing today. Not only are students graduating with tons of debt but students are having to drop school because of their school loan debt. Moreover, Americans are not the only population experiencing financial struggles, worldwide students are having to pay higher and higher tuition costs, leading them into more and more loan debt. For example, according to a study conducted by the National Center for education, the average student loan debt for a four year undergrad program is now costing $23,186 and that is compared to the cost of only $10,500 back in year 2000! Student loan debt is at an all time high, according to USA Today, now exceeds credit card debt!
In an effort to alleviate these problems, my partner, Abby R. and I have envisioned a way to facilitate college students around the world and decrease the burden of paying for their college degree. We want to ensure that the education of our future is not compromised due to financial adversities. Anyone with ambition and a goal in mind should believe their desire is within reach and should understand that they deserve the opportunity to make that dream become a reality.
That hope, that chance for success becomes attainable with the help of Gradonation. Gradonation was created to help financially struggling students receive donations through friends, family, and willing individuals or philanthropists who feel the need to participate in aiding students earn their degree. Gradonation.com gives students an opportunity to connect with potential donors and receive donations to help them finish their degree without the burden of momentous student loan debt. These donations do not have to be large donations either, Abby and I believe that through small micro donations we can help individual students achieve their dreams!
Oprah, we are not asking for money or donations from you, but perhaps you might help us get the word out about how Gradonation could really help college students go to school and finish. Abby and I truly believe we can make a difference by helping financially struggling students connect with donors who really care!
Please help us get the word out?!
